Luci Peat Bog is one of the largest peat bogs in Romania, a refuge of relic species from the last glaciation. It is one of the southernmost sites of the tundra dwelling Dwarf Birch.

Bureaucracy-loaded compensation system for bear damages is inefficient in Romania. This has a deep and emotive impact on the lives of small-scale subsistence farmers. Bear damages are a very popular topic at the local newspapers. But why negative media campaign against bears is so harmful?

The farmer and the snared bears were filmed at two completely different locations in Romania.

Made in 2014 for the Brown Bear Conservation and Research Programme ran by Milvus Group, Bird and Nature Protection Association.
